Safford-Graham County Schools Superintendent Donna McGoey has announced a search for candidates to fill the vacancy on the Safford Unified School District Board effective Friday, March 24, due to the board’s resignation.
Per Arizona Revised Statute 15-302, A-3. County superintendents fill vacancies by appointment, and appointed applicants will hold seats until December 31, 2024.
Applicants must have resided in the district for at least one year prior to nomination and must be registered to vote in Arizona.
To apply, send a letter of interest to the Graham County School Superintendent at 921 Thatcher Blvd. Safford, AZ, 85546. Include all contact information in your letter. The deadline for submitting letters of interest is Monday, April 10, at 5:00 pm.
