SAFFORD — It’s spring, so it’s time for the Safford Spring Festival.
The Safford Springs Festival takes place on Fridays and Saturdays, 21-22 April.

The Spring Festival runs until 10pm on Friday and yoga resumes at 8am on Saturday. A groundbreaking Earth Day event takes place on the City Hall lawn at 9am, followed by live music and wine tasting throughout the day, followed by a performance by JJ’s partying his band to cap off his day.
Double R Sound owner Reed Richins said: “They’re bringing in the horn section. If you like ’90s hip-hop and he’s a bit of ’70s disco and funk, these guys are great fun.”
Two local restaurants celebrate during the Chinese New Year. Red Oven Pizza – a few steps east of Firefighter Park on Main Street – celebrates his third anniversary on April 20th with his three-day sale Wednesday through Friday. And his Fancy Pizzeria across Eighth Avenue, west of Fireman’s Park, will have a grand opening ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. Saturday, with all-day sales.
Festival-goers are encouraged to walk around downtown Safford during the festival and take photos and selfies of the Downtown Mural Project artwork. Post with the hashtag #SaffordSpringFestival2023.
Wineries participating in the 2023 Safford Springs Festival include Elgin Winery, Elgin Distillery, Sonoita Vineyards and Wuggin Vineyards & Estates.
The Safford Spring Festival is celebrated by the Graham County Chamber of Commerce with the Safford Downtown Association, Gira Valley Film Festival, Gira Valley Adventure Club, Graham County Historical Society, Eastern Arizona Historical Society and Museum, City of Safford, Thatcher, Town of Pima, and Graham County. Copper Chamber members Bayacan LLC and NatureSweet Tomatoes also played a major role in making the event happen.
