A man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder after he was pulled from a swimming pool at a Sahuarita home this week, authorities said.
According to a complaint filed in Pima County Court, 58-year-old Paul Baillargeon was found face-down in the swimming pool of a home in the 900 block of East Madera Estates on Sept. 14 and later died.
Davis Lee Crowell, 33, was jailed on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the death, with bail set at $250,000.
Before Baillargeon was discovered, his partner, Crowell's father, told police he saw his son come into the house half-naked and wet.
According to the complaint, Crowell's father told police that he had strange behavior and habits.
He told police he was near the back door until Baillargeon returned home, and the two briefly discussed the object in the pool, after which Baillargeon went outside to check it out.

About 10 minutes later, a wet Crowell entered the home through the sliding glass door, and that's when the father told police he noticed Baillargeon in the pool, according to the complaint.
Family members pulled Baillargeon from the pool and began life-saving measures while Crowell changed out of her wet clothes and left the home on foot, according to the lawsuit.
He was later arrested by police.
Police said Crowell had abrasions on his knees and scratches and redness on his chest and back.
