Tucson (KVOA) – Sunday is the same as Saturday in Tucson, but without the breeze. The sun and mostly clear skies make it easy to forget that temperatures in late March are cooler than normal.
Sunday’s highs will peak in the mid-60s in southeastern Arizona and in the high 60s in the metropolitan area. The Cochise County border area saw gusts of up to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Last night’s lows will keep the cool down and drop into the 30s.
Tucson is expected to drop to the high 30s later tonight, but some spots in Cochise County will be below freezing.
The warming trend will push temperatures up to 80 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday.
If the next storm pushes south enough to affect southern Arizona, the next chance of precipitation could occur next Thursday. If not, the gusts will just come back.
- Sunday: Mostly sunny. High: 68°
- Sunday night: Sunny and cool. Low: 39°
- Monday: Sunny, slightly warm. High: 71°
