Salvation Army has new location, same mission of service remainsĀ

YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma Salvation Army has moved to a new location.

The move is the culmination of a four-year project with a total investment of $2.5 million.

The Salvation Army provides many support systems to the community, including utility bill programs, religious services, and food boxes.

Lieutenant Jonathan Herzog, who oversees operations at the Salvation Army’s Yuma base, said: Raise your hand even though you just want to reach out. ”

Due to the extreme heat, the Salvation Army has provided free water and acts as a cooling center.

Herzog said the company’s cooling center provides essentials such as cooling towels, heat bags and kits, and sunscreen. You can run away,” he said.

The cooling center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
