State Rep. Neil Carter invites the community to an informative City Hall meeting regarding the upcoming new zip code 85144, which covers part of Pinal County’s Santan Valley.
This important discussion is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20th at 6:00 pm. The venue for this important community event will be his 2197 W Gold Dust Ave in Santan Heights, San Tan Valley, AZ 85142 (soon to be 85144). (Add event to calendar here. )
The US Post Office recently announced that this change, effective July 1, 2023, will move areas within the current 85142 zip code to the new 85144 zip code.
“As the sole representative of Santan Valley, I feel a responsibility to ensure that our community is not overtaxed, and that the proceeds from our purchases go back to local projects such as road improvements. “We have,” said Rep. Carter. For his fervent advocacy on behalf of local taxpayers.
Mr. Carter’s dedication to tax reform is evident in his work with the Arizona Department of Revenue to fix erroneous sales tax charges at the new Santan Valley Home Depot.
The introduction of the new zip code 85144 represents an important step towards the correct sales tax rate of 6.7%, as opposed to Queen Creek’s current rate of 8.95% in Pinal County.
The new City Hall is another part of a series of community initiatives led by Rep. Carter, who wants to keep voters informed about significant changes in his area. His final City Hall earlier this year focused on raising his CAGRD rate for water recharge in the area.
