Flagstaff dropped its record to 15-7-1 on Saturday, finishing the team’s 11-game victory. They fell just below the Verrado Vipers with a 3-2 score. The Eagles were unable to repeat their success when they faced the Vipers when they won 7-0 earlier this season.

Flagstaff had six different players stepped up and recorded at least one hit. One of them was Caileee Culwell. He went 4-1 on one home run. The other was Sofia Garcia.

As for Verrado, the victory was third for them, bringing their record to 21-4. The victory averaged only 2.7 runs in these games, thanks to pitching efforts.

On Verrado’s side, we weren’t past Jill Ryan. Jill Ryan gave up two hits and took Blagstaff off the board by getting 12 ks. Ryan was only reliable on the mound. She hasn’t given up on more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
