The annual Veterans Memorial Service will be held on May 29 at Prescott Municipal Cemetery.
The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors urges all who wish to remember and honor those who served their country, including Prescott Mayor Phil Goode, historians Nancy Burgess, Tim Plater, and the U.S. Army ( retired), and many others. At the Historic Civil Cemetery on May 29, 2023 from 9am to 10am.
The Civil Cemetery is located at 815 Sheldon Street in Prescott, Arizona.
The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors is also looking for a few volunteers to help out during the event. If interested, please contact Barbara Fox-Thomas at 928-771-3206.
Presentations at the ceremony will include honorary host Ken Bennett, Yavapai County Supervisory Board Chairman James Gregory, Vice Chairman Harry O’Berg, and Prescott Police Chief Amy Bonney.
Period clothing is also welcome. Parking is available at Yavapai College. The shuttle van will pick you up near the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center. Additional parking is available at Bennett Oil and 314 N. Rush Street (directly across from the cemetery). Golf carts are available for event attendees through the cemetery entrance. The number of seats is limited, so if you can bring a light chair, please use it.
