Scorpion Safari – Animals – Events

Join Ranger Kevin for a fun and family-friendly evening walk focused on scorpions native to the Sonoran Desert.

Join Ranger Kevin for an easy walk on the 1-Mile Loop Path. We will be looking for all three species of scorpion native to our neck of the Sonoran Desert: Striped-tail, Bark, and, of course, the Giant Desert Hairy. Who knows what else we may see? Trail is rated easy and is mostly paved. Please wear closed-toe shoes, bring plenty of water, and a flashlight if you’d like. If you have a UV (black) light, feel free to bring it as well, but the Ranger will have one for spotting and highlighting scorpions. Restrooms are available. No pets, please.

MEETING LOCATION: Ramada 13, Picnic Loop Area.

No registration required.
