“Second, this is part of the transaction. The other part of the transaction is making the tax cuts permanent and perhaps if I were them, I would be able to cut capital gains taxes, cut corporate tax rates, and make sure that Democrats can participate,” Jennings said. “As a sudden, free trader and because of low taxes, I am amusing Democrats, so if you have Democrats who want to reduce taxation on business activities, let’s see how serious they are. I think it’s interesting to cut capital gains, cut corporate income tax, and everyone talks about the 08 crash. When the market crashed completely in 2022, these Democrats are in hysteric.”

During the 2024 presidential election, then President Kamala Harris said in a speech with the ADS and the speech that Trump’s plan to impose tariffs was a “sales tax,” and that American families would increase $4,000 a year, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

In 2015, then-democratic Nevada Sen. Harry Reid opposed the law that then-President Barack Obama granted the “Trade Promotion Office” to the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Democrats also criticized the free trade agreement sent to Congress in 2011 by the Obama administration.
