Scott Jennings Uses Just 3 Words to Criticize Tim Walz for Wishful Thinking About Trump’s Death

Political Tensions Escalate Over Trump’s Comments

Republican strategist Scott Jennings expressed strong disapproval of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s remarks on Tuesday, which seemed to suggest a wish for President Donald Trump’s demise.

During a rally on Monday, Walz, while addressing supporters, implied that although rumors about Trump’s death were unfounded, it was inevitable that such news would eventually surface. Jennings commented during the “Arena with Casey Hunt” segment, stating that Walz had crossed a line with his comments.

Jennings remarked, “When he [Trump] was there, he seemed very much alive. Honestly, it would be absurd to ask a living person if they were dead.” Walz had previously stated, “We were trying to wake up and find out that the president was dead. That’s going to happen one day.”

Jennings further asserted that public officials should refrain from expressing hopes for the president’s death, calling the sentiment inappropriate.

“I used to think he was one of the biggest clowns in American politics, but now it’s worse. Elected officials shouldn’t be out there saying things like, ‘Why would I wake up one day and hope that the US president is dead?’ It’s just crazy,” Jennings added.

Walz had referenced unfounded social media rumors suggesting Trump had died, which had circulated under hashtags like #TrumpisDead and #WhereIstrump. This speculation arose after Trump was seen on a golf course in Sterling, Virginia with his granddaughter, Kai.

In a recent interview with Daily Caller, Trump discussed his plans concerning the Russia-Ukraine war and mentioned the possibility of reinstating insane asylum policies to address mental health issues.
