SEACUS seeking volunteers for Meals on Wheels

SAFFORD — Southeast Arizona Community Unique Service is asking for volunteer help.

Demand is growing for the Meals on Wheels program offered by SEACUS. This means there is a growing need for additional volunteer drivers in Graham and Greenlee counties.

SEACUS Executive Director Stephanie Nabor said: “We provide nutritious, whole food, fresh meals for seniors who are stuck at home.”

About 70 meals are delivered each weekday in Graham County and over 30 in Greenlee County.

Volunteers are also needed at the SEACUS kitchens in Safford and Clifton. Wheelchair-accessible dining is available here. Meals are also provided at two county senior centers.

In addition to wheelchair feeding, SEACUS offers in-home services for the elderly and disabled, including in-home meal preparation and shopping for seniors, home health care services, and respite services for family caregivers. I’m here.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact SEACUS at 928-428-4328.
