Go Lake Havasu is looking for a new CEO.
Terrence Concannon, the former boss of the marketing organization, resigned in June. Concannon worked with Go Lake Havasu from 2017 to 2023.
Go Lake Havasu’s board chairman Heather Petaiszyski said the organization began accepting applications for the position on July 24.
“There is no deadline at this time, but we encourage anyone interested to apply early,” said Petaiszyski. “We will conduct our first review this Friday, August 4th, and will continue weekly reviews until we have the right pool to move to the next step.”
Petaiszyski said the executive committee will also provide the board with an update on outstanding candidates at its next board meeting on Wednesday, August 16.
“Once the top candidates are selected, they are given the opportunity to tour the city, meet with the mayor and city council members, and finally have a meet and greet that is open to the board and the community.” Meet them. I’m interested in that,” said Petaiszyski.
The job description in the application states that the CEO’s role will include developing strategic initiatives, fostering partnerships, promoting the city as a major tourism destination, and developing and managing the budget.
Minimum applicant requirements include a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or experience in a related field of destination marketing. Preference will be given to those with a master’s degree.
“We encourage all active leaders to apply as soon as possible,” said Petaiszyski.
