TUCSON, Ariz. (13News) – The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office has named a person of interest in connection with the murder investigation after a man's body was found at a bloody crime scene in Tubac in the early hours of Monday, January 29th. announced his identity.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said officers were called to 146 Bridge Road after someone spotted blood splatter on the road.
Officers found 28-year-old Adrian Lopez dead at the scene.
SCCSO said Lopez suffered stab wounds and cuts and that “a fight involving a machete occurred at the location related to the use of drugs and alcohol.”
There are no suspects in custody, but SCCSO announced that the person of interest has been identified as 32-year-old Jorge Quijada.
His height is listed as 5'09'' and weight as 160 lbs.
Officials said the public should not approach the quijada because it could be armed and dangerous.
“If the public knows the whereabouts of this individual, please call 911,” SCCSO said.
