Three Korean women were missing for 10 days while traveling to Arizona’s Grand Canyon, prompting local police to make search efforts, the diplomat said.
According to the South Korean consulate in Los Angeles and local police (local time), contact with three women, including their mothers, ages 33 and 59, have been lost while traveling from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas since March 13.
The trio initially planned to return home on March 17th via San Francisco International Airport. After losing contact, South Korean families sought help from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to find them.
The South Korean Consulate General in Los Angeles has requested local police and transportation authorities in Arizona to begin an investigation, saying the search work is still underway.
