Holbrook, Ariz. (3TV/CBS 5) — The Navajo County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that investigators have executed multiple search warrants in various areas of Arizona in search of a missing teenage boy.
The department's criminal investigation unit searched various locations in Joseph City and Phoenix in the search for 17-year-old Jarrett Brooks. The investigation is reportedly focused on computer forensics and online messages about Brooks.
NCSO said it was part of a “large scale operation” to search for the boy, who has been missing since July 4 in Joseph City, about 130 miles east of Flagstaff. The sheriff's office said detectives investigated hundreds of tips and tips, but none provided reliable information.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. According to a missing poster from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children., Brooks may travel to Winslow or other Texas cities such as San Antonio, Austin, Temple, and Stamford.
