With the beloved SEC officially moving to ABC and ESPN, a new era has begun in the South.
Much to the dismay of many and the joy of some, the era of the SEC airing every Saturday afternoon on CBS has officially come to an end due to an expiring television contract.
The official SEC logo was revealed on ABC and sparked a lot of feedback online, most of it negative.

The reactions were mostly positive, with some users commenting on the sleek design.
The SEC on CBS was already great, but somehow Disney/ESPN/ABC outdid it. https://t.co/aLqzhbvoZ3

Regardless of how fans feel, change is inevitable when it comes to television rights for the most lucrative league in college sports.
It will certainly take some getting used to, but fans will eventually become familiar with the SEC on ABC once players are on the field and football season resumes.
Of course, the music choice is also important, as the SEC on CBS theme song is perhaps the most iconic sports television song of all time.
The ball is in ABC's court, and one hopes the network realises the gravity of what it has just undertaken.
