A creative visual storyteller, Ryan uses stunning imagery and views from behind the lens to take audiences on a meaningful artistic journey. Focusing on his adventures from when he first began exploring photography to the present day, he is a renowned resident gallery.He is an artist, educator and industry’s most acclaimed workshop One of his instructors.
Ryan explains that an artist’s journey is full of peaks and valleys. He explains: It is where I feel free, where I feel strong, where I feel alive. When you lose touch with nature and capture its beauty, you find yourself. My images are the reminders of the journeys I took on the mountain peaks, the visible ones, the memories I brought back to look back on while in the valleys below. “
Early in life, Ryan Smith developed a love and passion for the outdoors, which fueled his obsession with landscape photography. Raised in the beautiful and diverse state of Utah, Ryan has consistently traveled the West to capture iconic landscapes that inspire and tell stories. His Ryan artistic style is unique and unmistakable, leading to work that has been featured in prestigious awards and publications. His work can also be found in high-end galleries in the West, including Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Park City, Utah. Telluride, Colorado. Aspen, Colorado and Sedona, Arizona.
Smith loves sharing his photography knowledge and is passionate about teaching others. Combining his professional experience as a corporate trainer with his passion for photography, Ryan shares the creative and technical aspects of photography in an easy-to-understand way through workshops, tours and events in the West and the Hawaiian Islands. Presentations hosted by the Sedona Camera Club are free to members. Guests will be charged a $5 fee. Clubs do not have COVID precautions requirements. Participants must wear a mask. Local photographers are encouraged to attend to help develop interest in photography and bring in quality speakers to develop photography skills. Membership costs $35 per year.
