Sedona Film Fest presents ‘Amélie’ global encore Feb. 14-17

sedona news – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to join theaters around the world in this global theatrical encore event. “Amelie” will be shown at the Alice Gil Sheldon Theater from February 14th to 17th.

“Amelie'' was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Foreign Language Film. After 20 years, the cinematic sensation returns to theaters in its original form.

Amelie (Audrey Tatou), the heroine of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's award-winning, whimsical romance, is no ordinary young woman. Amelie, who is a waitress at a bar in Montmartre, Paris, observes people and allows her imagination to roam freely. One day she suddenly finds the purpose of her life – solving other people's problems.

We follow her around colorful Paris, lovingly and vividly photographed, as she devises quirky solutions to improve the lives of deserving colleagues, relatives, and neighbors. … Among them is a concierge who spends his days drinking port wine while communicating with a stuffed dog. ; Georgette, a hypochondriac newspaper saleswoman; and the “Glass Man” who lives vicariously through Renoir's reproductions.

Amelie's mission to help others is rudely interrupted when she meets an eccentric and eccentric young man, Nino Cancampova (Mathieu Kassowitz). He attracts her interest and sets her a mission to achieve something for herself – in the most fascinating and complicated way possible).

“Amelie” will be performed at the Alice Gill Sheldon Theater from February 14th to 17th. Showtimes are Wednesday and Thursday, February 14th and 15th, at 3:30 p.m.and Friday and Saturday, February 16 and 17, 6:30 p.m.
