Sedona Film Festival presents ‘Bad Faith’ premiere Sept. 30-Oct. 3

Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival will present the Northern Arizona premiere of “Bad Faith” for a limited time at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre from September 30 to October 3.

“Bad Intentions: Christian Nationalism's Immoral War on Democracy” is a timely new documentary that exposes the forces dividing our nation from within.

Part documentary, part expose, Bad Faith examines the startling rise of Christian nationalism, a movement once on the fringes of Christian conservative thought that has catapulted to the forefront of American politics, driven by the belief in establishing a theocracy aligned with its interpretation of Christian values.

“Bad Intentions: Christian Nationalism's Immoral War on Democracy” is a timely new documentary that exposes the forces dividing our nation from within. Part archival, part exposé, the film explores the startling rise of Christian nationalism.

The movement, in collusion with the Koch network and other powerful economic forces, seeks to dismantle the federal government, defund public health and education, and strip millions of Americans of their civil and political rights. The film makes clear the movement's clear objective: to position white conservative Christians as the ruling elite that serves the wealthy.

Through interviews with religious leaders, historians, investigative journalists and political veterans, “Bad Faith” explores how this ideology has successfully seduced tens of millions of people and become the most powerful political force in the country.

“Bad Faith” will run at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre from September 30 to October 3. Show times are Monday and Tuesday, September 30 and October 1 at 4 pm, and Wednesday and Thursday, October 2 and 3 at 7 pm.

Tickets are $12, or $9 for festival members. For tickets or more information, call 928-282-1177. Both the theater and festival offices are at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A in West Sedona. For more information, visit the website at Sedona Film Festival.
