sedona news – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present Compton and Bennett’s “One Stooge Shy” at the Mary D. Fisher Theater on Saturday and Sunday, November 16th and 17th.
Compton and Bennett, the same eccentrics who brought us “Assisted Living: The Musical” and its sister show “THE HOME…for the Holidays,” deliver an all-new comedy romp. “One Stooge Shy” is a neo-vaudevillian apolitical satire of songs and sketches.
The show is written and performed by national touring artists Betsy Bennett and Rick Compton. They performed to sold-out houses and earned standing ovations at hundreds of venues, from Hollywood’s El Portal to Atlantic City’s Tropical Showroom.
“One Stooge Shy” has Bennett displaying some impressive characterization and vocal skills, while Compton attempts to do the same from behind the piano.
Fans of the “Assisted Living” show will be happy to meet even more of the oddballs that reside in Compton and Bennett’s collective consciousness.
“One Stooge Shy” is a new style old-fashioned laugh fest. A fun time is guaranteed for everyone.
Compton and Bennett’s “One Stooge Shy” will be performed at the Mary D. Fisher Theater on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $30. For tickets or more information, call 928-282-1177. Both theater and festival offices are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, West Sedona. See below for more information. www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
