Sedona city
The city of Sedona welcomes Amber Wagner as the new transit manager after a nationwide search. After taking over Robert Weber’s position from retirement, Wagner began his position on February 27, 2025, managing transportation planning, grants, operations and maintenance and budgets.
Wagner demonstrates the strengths of contractor management and passing operations, including fixed routes and on-demand systems, particularly through his work in municipalities that are deeply involved in tourism.
With over 15 years of experience in transport leadership, strategic planning and management, her recent position took place at Asheville Rides Transit (ART), overseeing a $15 million budget. This role has enhanced her ability to balance operational needs and financial constraints while maintaining high service standards. Wagner also has Arizona bond and traffic experience since he was a transportation mobility manager for the Pima County Regional Transportation Department.
“My work in Asheville highlights the important role that effective transport plays in communities like Sedona, where connectivity can have a significant impact on economic vitality and quality of life.” Wagner said.
“We wouldn’t have found a better fit than Amber, who really provides the technical expertise and operational experience needed for our organization and community,” Deputy Mayor Andy Dickey said. I said that.
