Due to persistently high temperatures, Sedona will adjust the Sedona Shuttle Trailhead schedule. Starting from July 31, 2025, until September 1, 2025, the shuttle will temporarily transport visitors to Dry Creek Vista and Mezcal Trailheads.
Key details of the updated schedule are outlined below:
- Route 11 – Dry Creek Vista and Mezcal Trailhead from West SR 89A Park & Ride
- First bus departs for the Trailhead at 7 am
- Last bus to the Trailhead leaves at noon
- Final return bus from Dry Creek Vista at 3:10 pm
- Final return bus from Mezcal Trailhead at 3:15 pm
- Route 12 – Dry Creek Vista from Posse Grounds Park & Ride
- Service suspended
- Users should utilize Route 11 from West SR 89A Park and Ride
- Route 14 – Soldier Pass Trailhead from Posse Grounds Park & Ride
- No changes; buses run from 7 am to 5:08 pm
- Route 15 – Cathedral Rock and Little Horse Trailhead from North SR 179 Park & Ride
- No changes; buses run from 7 am to 5:12 pm
“We’re seeing a rise in hikers, particularly around the Demon Bridge area, which has led to several rescues due to people being unprepared for the heat,” said Amber Wagner, the transit manager. “Hopefully, by reducing services in this area, it encourages individuals to opt for cooler morning hikes.”
This adjustment is being made in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service. The Sedona Shuttle will continue to operate Thursday through Sunday, including Labor Day on September 1st. The complete schedule is accessible online.
