A heated exchange erupted during a Fox News segment on Friday when lawyer Leo Terrell blasted Democratic strategists for refusing to explain Vice President Kamala Harris' shifting policy stance.
Harris, who secured the number of delegates needed for the nomination during a virtual roll call on Friday, appeared to back away from the policy positions on illegal immigration, health care and gun control that she initially championed during the 2020 presidential election. During an appearance on “The Story,” Terrell asked Democratic strategist Antjuan Searight to explain Harris' policy shift, saying he had video evidence that she had taken “extremist” positions. “Kamala Harris got zero votes. She was picked and appointed by the Hollywood elite, George Clooney, and she got zero votes. But he talks about policy,” Terrell said. “Okay, I have the receipts and the video. What position does Kamala Harris take on illegal immigration? She wanted to decriminalize it. She thinks we should defund the police. Why doesn't she talk about policy? She's against private health insurance. She wants to take away our guns.

Searight tried to sidestep Terrell's argument by arguing that the civil rights lawyer was yelling.

James Lankford of Oklahoma, Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, which many Republicans opposed as lacking enforcement provisions.
