Sen. Cory Booker’s Effort to Challenge MAGA Isn’t Beneficial for Democrats

Senator Cory Booker from New Jersey is attempting to showcase his support for illegal immigration, but it might not be as clear-cut as he believes.

In his recent engagement, he shared a video featuring what are likely illegal migrant workers harvesting asparagus. Accompanying the video was a message reminiscent of a haiku directed towards American agricultural workers: “Hands that feed us. We will meet you. We will fight to protect you.”

But what exactly is Booker implying? Is he suggesting that the Democratic Party champions inexpensive labor at the expense of U.S. workers’ wages? And what does it mean that these undocumented immigrants toil long hours for minimal pay, without any legal recourse?

Hunter Biden recently conveyed similar thoughts in a rather blunt interview. He questioned the public’s outrage towards illegal immigrants, asking rhetorically how hotel rooms are cleaned or how food ends up on tables.

However, Hunter went a step further than Booker. He suggested that a Democratic president shouldn’t just protect undocumented workers but should also take more aggressive actions, hinting at potential invasions of countries like El Salvador to facilitate their return.

It raises a question: do Democrats truly advocate for illegal workers out of humanitarian concern, or are there deeper interests at play, driven by wealthy donors who benefit from low-cost labor for tasks like lawn maintenance and house cleaning?
