Sen. Tuberville supports Rubio after tense hearings: ‘He’s advocating for the American people’

Senator Tuberville Praises Secretary of State

US Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) expressed strong support for the US Secretary of State on Thursday, commending him for his commitment to the Constitution.

This week, Senator Marco Rubio faced some tough exchanges with former Senate colleagues.

“I have to admit, I regret my vote for the Secretary of State,” Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) candidly remarked during one of his interactions with Rubio.

In response, Rubio said, “Your regret only pushes me to do better.”

During a Fox Business interview, Tuberville defended the Secretary of State under President Donald Trump.

“First and foremost, he’s standing up for Americans,” Tuberville asserted. “He’s advocating for our country and our Constitution. It’s surprising to see the Democrats, who seem to operate more like a cartel or a criminal organization. We initially had a plan, not a four-year mess. It was chaotic.”

The senator also praised Rubio for highlighting the importance of connecting foreign aid with US national interests.

“I thought that was an excellent comment. Many see us through a Democratic lens as selfish,” he commented. “The truth is, we help more people globally than any other nation, and very few are willing to discuss that. American taxpayers support millions around the world.”

Tuberville concluded his thoughts by saying Rubio excels during Democratic debates.

“He could talk about various issues all day, yet they gain nothing from him,” he noted. “He’s significantly more intelligent than they are. When you have a game plan and a clear vision for your future work, you can confront any challenges they throw your way. But they seem determined to paint him in a poor light.”
