Senate hopeful Jared Hudson criticizes disconnected elites for permitting transgender individuals to compete in women’s sports

Jared Hudson, a Republican candidate for the US Senate and a former Navy SEAL, is advocating for the DC facility to permit biological men to participate in women’s sports. On X, many Alabama residents expressed their concerns regarding trans athletes claiming women’s state titles in a Democratic state.

“Girls’ sports are on fire. Over the weekend, biological men competing in women’s sports took home victories not just in California, but in four other blue states,” Hudson stated. “This nonsense needs to stop. It’s completely absurd.”

For Hudson, who has three young daughters, defending girls’ sports is a personal issue.

“There are two genders. Period. I really don’t care who gets upset in places like Los Angeles or New York,” he added. “These two are distinctly different genders. We need to have boys play in boys’ sports and girls play in girls’. Enough is enough. Alabamians have had it.”

Hudson’s comments on X have garnered attention, particularly from Riley Gaines, a well-known advocate for women’s sports. The former collegiate swimmer shared Hudson’s remarks.

Hudson commended Gaines for her “fearless leadership.”

In another note, Hudson, a non-career politician, emphasized his motivations for running in a recent campaign ad.

“I think the main reason I’m qualified is that I’m not a career politician. Too often, professional politicians prioritize their ambitions over serving the community. I’m committed to serving the people of Alabama. I want to advocate for you in Washington, DC, without bringing political issues back to Alabama,” he explained.

Hudson had previously run for Jefferson County Sheriff in 2022.

The primary election for the open US Senate seat is scheduled for May 19, 2026.
