BULLHEAD CITY — Three men and four women were arrested after 5,200 fentanyl pills were found during a traffic stop Saturday in Bullhead City.
Two of the arrestees were arrested directly as a result of the traffic stop, while the other five were arrested after search warrants were issued to two local residences, according to a Bullhead Police Department news release.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on January 14, Bullhead City Police contacted a man and a woman while a silver 2002 Honda Odyssey was parked at 3400 State Route 95.
Claudia Roxana Evans, 28, was found driving and was reportedly driving with a suspended license.
The passenger has been identified as 38-year-old Joseph Aaron Kroll.
A search of the minivan reportedly found about 5,200 counterfeit blue M-30 pills, including fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and firearms with altered serial numbers.
Evans and Kroll have been charged with possession of drugs for sale and transportation of drugs.
Kroll was also charged with several weapons-related misconduct (prohibited possession, serial number tampering, and possession during a drug offense).
Further investigation led to a search on the 800 block of Brill Drive, police said, and limited consent was obtained to search another address on the 2300 block of Merrill Avenue.
A follow-up investigation resulted in five arrests.
Amber Nicole Sowers, 28, has been charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
29-year-old Michael Anthony Hernandez has been charged with felony getaway with law enforcement prosecution, theft of a vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hernandez reportedly fled police in a stolen car before a search warrant was issued at Brill Drive.
Jared Clayton Winner, 42, has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cecily Lynn Ashworth, 32, was charged with post-sentence warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and two misdemeanors.
