The funding is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Rebuild America's Infrastructure through Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant program, which strengthens transportation networks to make them more walkable, bikeable, and safe. and is used to build connected, livable communities. Prior to the press conference, Congressman Sewell will host a roundtable with local leaders to discuss the impact of the funding.
