Tucker Carlson fired back Monday after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton criticized her interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling her a “kid.”
Carlson, co-founder of the Daily Caller and the Daily Caller News Foundation, posted an interview with President Putin on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. Clinton called Carlson a “useful idiot” in an interview aired Wednesday night on MSNBC, but Carlson dismissed the criticism during an appearance at the World Government Summit. “[Hillary Clinton] “This gentleman, this honorable gentleman, he's playing a role… you would say that,” said Egyptian journalist Emad El-Din Adeeb, who said Mr. Carlson had not seen Mr. Clinton's interview. said.
“She's a child. I don't listen to her,” Carlson said. “How is the situation in Libya?”

While serving as Secretary of State, Clinton advocated intervention against the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, which ultimately overthrew the Libyan dictator. She also came under fire for her response to the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi that killed four Americans.
Carlson also warned of the consequences of tighter “press controls.”
“Media information in a free country is a counterbalance to entrenched powers, not just government power, but economic power and corporations,” Carlson said. “In my country, it's constitutionally designed to act as a counterbalance to that. So if the sources and the press align themselves with the entrenched power, the people become powerless and totalitarian.”
