On May 6, the Gila Monsters, an underwater robotics team from Southern Gila County, head to Tucson for their first statewide competition. According to Toni DeAnda-Solberg, one of his team mentors, up to 22 teams are participating in his 2023 Underwater Robotics Project offered by the University of Arizona Joint Extension 4-H Youth Development 4-HSTEM YOUniversity. Funding for this group comes from state grants and the United Fund of Grove Miami.
