Silver Bullet Mines Corp. (TSX-V:SBMI, OTC:SBMCF) has identified unusual platinum group element (PGE) values in some of the materials at its Buckeye Mine in Richmond Basin Mining, Arizona. said it had received analytical results confirming area.
Resource Jr. said a “check assay” from a third-party, independent, accredited American Assay Laboratories is for materials tested and reported in September and October 2022. A total of 6 samples, 6 replicates, 4 standards and 1 blank sample were analyzed. Added.
Samples, including blanks and standards, were collected by miners from various materials at the Buckeye Mine, crushed and ground into powders in the company’s analytical lab, and the powders were retained in marked sample bags. Some of these bags were retained and some were inserted into separate labeled bags and delivered to American Assay Laboratories in Nevada by a courier in Grove, Arizona, the company said.

The Silver Bullet pointed out that American Assay Laboratories used an assay termination procedure similar to the first lab, Lone Pine, namely ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry). Lone Pine used his tetra-acid lysis of 200 milligram samples and American Assay Laboratories used sodium peroxide lysis of 5 gram samples.
To further confirm the presence of platinum, the company said it conducted repeated fire tests. In this method, samples were melted at 1,080 degrees Celsius in ceramic crucibles containing litharge, sodium carbonate, borax, and wheat flour. From this he coupled 25-50 grams of lead buttons at 900° for 60 minutes in a cup of magnesite. The silver beads were then separated with concentrated nitric acid followed by hydrochloric acid to produce chlorine and nitrosyl chloride, which dissolved the PGM sponge. Digested samples were read by ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy).
The PGE results from American Assay Laboratories are consistent with the 1995 historical report and the Lone Pine results, the company said, adding that American Assay Laboratories has tested silver, gold, iridium, osmium, It added that it analyzed palladium, platinum, rhodium and ruthenium.
“Based on these results, the company plans to continue evaluating the economic potential of PGE at the Buckeye mine,” Silver Bullet said in a statement.
“Samples within the Buckeye Mine upperwell hydrothermal system have been sent to Dr. A. MacDonald of Laurentian University for further analysis and a selective sampling program will be initiated. Further testing will be done using MS and NAA (Nuclear Activation Analysis).”
Directorate change
Silver Bullet also announced that due to time commitments to other projects, J. Burks Beauveard has resigned from the board of directors, thanking him for his “unrelenting devotion to our shareholders.”
John S MacKenzie, chief financial officer (CFO) and founding shareholder of Critical Minerals Americas, a private exploration-stage mining company in Alberta, has been appointed to the board and will also chair the board.
The company noted that Mackenzie is CFO and founding shareholder of Evergreen Environmental, which is engaged in the anaerobic digestion of organic waste and the production and sale of renewable natural gas (RNG).
After 13 years as CEO of AllCanada Express (ACE), a large international jet cargo airline, MacKenzie has held both C-suite and consulting positions with various mining, aviation and technology companies. . He has extensive financing, leasing, purchasing and selling experience on dozens of transactions and hundreds of millions of dollars of equipment. MacKenzie said at Clarkson Gordon/Ernst & Young that he also has 10 years of public accounting experience, the Silver Bullet said.
Silver Bullet Mines has projects in the western United States. The company’s flagship Black Diamond project is located at the Miami Grove Copper Camp in Gila County, Arizona, centered in the Richmond Basin. The property covers nearly 5,000 acres and has hosted several underground primary silver mines that have produced in the past.
