Arizona Silver Exploration Inc. (AZS:TSX; AZASF:OTC) This morning there was news of drill results that you would normally ignore, if not outright ignore, but not in this case.

as you like read hereAZS has completed drilling a mostly shallow RC (reverse circulation) hole at the Philadelphia Geothermal Gold and Silver Project in Mojave County, Arizona.

RC drilling produces a “core” made from scratch for subsequent testing, as opposed to a solid core from diamond drilling. But the goal is the same: analyze materials and report details about their gold, silver, etc. content.

Normally I largely ignore news like this morning that is still pending analysis. In many cases, I have read the breathtaking excitement that companies have reported intersecting with the properties of the material they hoped to find… I hope It may not be.

But this morning’s news is an outlier and very encouraging for me in two ways.

First, as VP-Exploration’s Greg Hahn explains, the area/size of mineralization continues to expand significantly. I hope you remember my first recommendation, but little by little the geological thesis here continues to be accepted.

Second, we still need official analytical results, but if we can pan free visible gold out of the grind from some of these pits, that’s attention-grabbing!

In this case, I think it’s because the AZS stock is in stronger than average hands. People who are probably making progress towards a big breakout story and don’t want to leave.
