TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) – Pima County lawmakers responded to a crash with injuries Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of El Tiro and Cosio streets.
The police arrived and found one car overturned with the driver thrown out.
The driver, identified as 68-year-old Joseph Hammons, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the PCSD, multiple alcohol bottles were found and Mr Hammons’ body smelled of intoxication, suggesting obstacles and excessive speed were the most likely causes of the crash.
