Dolores Garcia of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) said she received a report of the fire around 2 p.m.

A small wildfire burned about a tenth of an acre.

The fire was extinguished after 4pm and extinguished

BLM said it would monitor the area and ensure it was eliminated.

BLM said the fire was caused by humans, but the full extent of the fire is unknown.

In a phone interview, BLM’s Dolores Garcia urged locals to be careful when traveling, especially when temperatures are rising.

Here is a list of things you can do to prevent fires:

  • Make sure the vehicle is in good condition and the tires are in good condition and well inflated as rims on the pavement can cause sparks.
  • Secure all tow chains to the trailer. Sparks are also produced when the tow chain is dragged. This spark can easily ignite dry grass on the side of the road.
  • Do not pull your car off the road or park it on dry grass. The underside of the car is hot enough to set the dry grass on fire.
