Soap Star Wings Hauser Dead At 78

Wings Hauser, a graduate of “The Young and the Restless,” passed away on March 15th of natural causes.

The famous actor and father of “Yellowstone” star Cole Hauser was 78 years old at the time of his death. He was best known for playing Greg Foster in the long-running melodrama, starring in 15 episodes in 1977 and 2010. Hauser’s wife, Karilili Hauser, paid tribute to her late husband in a lengthy social media post shared on March 19th.

“Movie Icon Wings Hauser flew into his arms this weekend in the studio of his film & music partner Kari Lili Hauser,” her statement read. Kari paid tribute to Hauser’s 58-year career in film, television and music.

Kari stated that Hauser’s family roots in the world of entertainment are “a proud member of the Academy, the son of Hollywood-born Academy Award-winning author, director and producer Dwight A. Hauser and beloved mother Geraldine T. Hauser.”

Kali commemorated Hauser by saying, “I work with many of the greatest artists in the industry and I respect them.”

“His recent release demands that he hand over the torch to his life’s love, and pass the Cali, continue his partnership, their love story, and honor his legacy, and honor his legacy. #calililiindies™♥” reads the statement.

Kari informed fans of an upcoming feature-length documentary produced by La-La Land Entertainment, dubbed “Wings Hauser: Working Class Actor,” but did not share any further information on the release date.

Other notable credits for Hauser included the hit shows “Magnum, Pi”, “The Fall Guy”, “She Writed”, “Perry Mason”, “Roseanne” and “Beverly Hills 90210”. His recent appearance was in “criminals” in 2010.

His talent spread beyond television to the big screen. Film credits for the famous actor included 1982’s “Vice Squad,” “Tough Guys Don’t Dance” (1987) and 1999’s “The Insider.” (Related: reality star and actor Paul Danan is dead at age 46, management announced)

Hauser was survived by his adult daughter, Brighthauser.
