The suspected thief reportedly left a note with the California store owner apologizing for his actions.
Teriyaki Madness restaurant in San Fernando, California, was robbed twice in one week, on a Tuesday and a Thursday. according to KTLA: In one of the robberies, the restaurant's security camera reportedly captured the intruder writing a note before fleeing the establishment.
The next day, the owners found a note that read, “Sorry! I need money for medicine and won't be coming back,” according to the outlet.
Security camera footage obtained by KTLA shows the suspect crawling through a broken window and stalking up to the restaurant's cash register, then grabbing a sticky note from the counter and writing a note.

A coffee shop next to the Teriyaki Madness restaurant was also broken into on Tuesday, according to the outlet. The thieves reportedly fled with the cash register. Owner Isaiah Rosario told the outlet that there was only $6 in the register and that it would cost about $1,000 to replace it.
“This week has been a roller coaster of emotions,” Rosario told KTLA. “It really sucks. It really sucks.”
Authorities are investigating whether the string of thefts are linked to the same suspect, the media said. The unidentified suspects face charges including theft, criminal damage and theft, the media reported.
Local business owners have reportedly set up a meeting with the San Fernando police chief for Friday to discuss the recent increase in crime.
