Local companies South Sound Creative and JayRay Ads & PR received the Viddy Award for their collaboration on “Hello, I'm Yuma.”
According to JayRay's recent press release, the video series uses first-person narrative and scenic cinematography to help travelers visit Yuma, Arizona, and “be curious, collect moments, and find the edge.” He says he is encouraging this.
This year, we received over 2,500 entries. The platinum award received by “Hello, I'm Yuma” is the highest rating in the contest. The international competition began in 1995 with the purpose of recognizing excellence in all aspects of video production, according to a release.
“We are honored to receive the Viddy Platinum Award,” Marcus Carney, executive director of Visit Yuma, said in a release. “Including many community members. Together we were able to succeed.” Our goal is to showcase Yuma's beauty, unique activities and attractions, and position our region as a top travel destination. ”
