In your video player: Nonprofit Tucson Values Teachers supports educators year-round
Tucson, Arizona (KGUN) — Just as educators in Southern Arizona prepare to wrap up the school year, Teacher Appreciation Week begins in early May.
A winner of KGUN 9’s May Giving Project, Tucson Values Teachers also offers an annual teacher discount card that gives you access to special offers and discounts from over 70 local businesses.
Any pre-kindergarten through 12th grade educator can do it sign up on their website for the card.
Furthermore, the organization Professional Development Scholarship For certified teachers or educators working in licensed early childhood education centers in Pima County, Cochise County, and Santa Cruz County. Go online for more information about the support available to teachers.
Tucson-area businesses and organizations are offering discounts and special events for local teachers this week.
