Tucson (KVOA) — Several areas of southern Arizona were hit with snow.
Cochise County doesn’t have much snow left, but there are some small patches. Now that most of the snow has melted, people are dealing with frigid temperatures.
A man told News 4 Tucson that he’s prepared to deal with the cold while traveling.
“I know it’s cold, but it’s bearable with a change of clothes. We went to Quartzsite for an RV show and are now going to Tombstone for a few days. Vacation,” said Robin Skiles.
So far the roads are clean, but there is still a little snow on the side of the interstate.
A family in California on their way to Tombstone told News4Tucson, “The cold weather is very different from where they come from, and they plan to take advantage of it.”
“We come every year and go to Quartzsite. We are retired so we travel. There are probably 14 people here. It’s coming,” Susie Skiles said.
Watch out for ice and a small amount of snow overnight through Tuesday morning.
