‘Stage Four’ Addiction: Charlie Sheen’s Ex-Wife, Brooke Mueller, Reveals Her Struggles With Drugs

Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, admitted that after more than 20 years of struggling to overcome her addiction, she continues to recur.

The 47-year-old actress, who shares with Sheen and her son, spoke honestly about her ongoing battle Interview Together with people announced on March 25th, she explained the impact that her addiction issues had on all her family.

“The sad reality is that they’re used to it. Mama will one day recur again,” Mueller told the publication.

The actress said she had been sober for six years before it recurred in the summer of 2023, and now she considers herself a “stage 4” addict. “When we’re in stage 4, it’s usually just you’re having these recurrences, regardless of how well you do, and it’s just a matter of time,” she said.

Mueller said he knows her substance abuse and how it affects her daily life.

“I want to be honest about it because when I try to sugarcoat it, I’m lying to myself,” she told people.

She expressed her desire to overcome the problems of addiction, but said it was not a simple feat.

“As we get older, darkness and shame become even more clung to us as there is more evidence of the pain that we caused others and ourselves,” Mueller said.

“It’s sad for us because we don’t want this and no one wants this, and sometimes our suffering can be literally very strong.

She admitted another “slip” following the 2023 recurrence.

“I’m sure I needed it[ed] She told people. She admitted to facing symptoms of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, but she is aware that she should not take medications that could become a habit.

“I somehow found these excuses and I really believe them. Here, I justify and streamline why I need a prescription for Adderall,” she told people.

“The last recurrence I had was in something that could be abused, and the bottle disappeared in a day and a half.”

Mueller confessed her unhealthy choices.

“In a way, I think I’m lucky, but I’m not saying that living a life like this is a great one. I’m not talking about it now, I don’t imagine you getting everything back. You ultimately gain trust and respect, and your children are constantly being abandoned in your care.

“But looking back at our marriage, he was always someone who could stop it and turn it off and fall asleep. I’ll sneak the car onto the skidrow,” she told the publication.
