June Jam, taking place in the summer for the second consecutive year for the first time in 26 years, will take place at the VFW Fairgrounds in Fort Payne on June 1. The event will begin at 12 p.m. and continue throughout the day, with the festival concluding in Alabama.
The concert will benefit “those in need and disaster relief workers in Alabama and beyond.” The band says the 2023 June Jam drew about 11,000 fans and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity.

“More than 30,000 fans attended the first June Jam as a charity concert event in 1982,” bassist Teddy Gentry said in a statement. “At the time, it was the largest country music festival in the United States. Now we're gearing up for our 18th concert and would love to welcome you all to our hometown of Fort Payne, Alabama. Please come along, have some fun, and help those in need!”
“Our hope is that Fort Payne will host June Jam and that it will continue forever,” lead singer Randy Owen added. “We [guitarist] Jeff [Cook, who died in 2022]and me [bass player] Teddy [Gentry] Although the jam is no longer in session, we hope the city will continue with the June jam. We want the event to continue to be a useful resource for the city, town, state and the public.”
“We're so excited to play our songs for everyone at this year's Jam,” Owen said. “We have a lot of love for our fans and they're always so supportive of the band and the June Jam Foundation.”
Tickets for the event range from $49 to $250. Sale At Ticketmaster.
