State Rep. Craig Lipscomb appointed to House Transportation Committee


State Rep. Craig Lipscomb (R-Gadsden) announced Thursday that he has been appointed by Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter (R-Rainsville) to serve on the House Transportation, Public Works, and Infrastructure Committee.

“A strong economy, a growing state, and the ability to effectively move goods and services across Alabama depends on the three elements this commission oversees: transportation, public works, and infrastructure,” Lipscomb said. Stated. “I am grateful for the confidence that Speaker Ledbetter has placed in me with additional committee assignments, and I look forward to using my influence on this committee to help make our already great state even better. I swear.”

In addition to his new duties, Mr. Lipscomb will continue to serve as vice chair of the House Health Committee and the House Ports, Waterways, and Intermodal Transportation Committee.

He also serves on the House Local Legislative Committee.

Currently serving his second term in the House of Representatives, Mr. Lipscomb works as a commercial and residential architect on design projects throughout Alabama and the Southeast.

Lipscomb is an Auburn University graduate and the parents of two children with his wife, Angela.
