Television personality Stephen A. Smith told comedian Bill Maher’s live audience on Friday that he felt stupid for supporting former Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential failure, and that Harris was the party’s primary candidate. If he does, he is unlikely to win the Democratic presidential nomination.
“I voted for her, a lot of people voted for her, but in the end, we supported it, so we fell, as they say, to Okeedoke. You. I know she didn’t – if they had had a primary, she wouldn’t have been the Democratic nominee. And you can’t say that. [President Donald] Trump,” Smith said. video show.
Stephen A. Smith feels like a damn fool for voting for Kamala Harris and declares that she would not have been the Democratic candidate for president if the primary election were held.

The ESPN pundit made the remark in response to the Democratic California senator’s argument as he compared Harris’ campaign to Obama’s. Khanna claimed that she wanted to appear with Obama on the campaign trail because celebrities established connections with people, whereas Harris needed celebrities to connect with people. Smith suggested Khanna’s argument was disingenuous.
“Let’s be honest here. First of all, Obama elected him to be the Democratic nominee for the Presidency of the United States, so he chose more people, so he has more to advocate for. Let’s be honest,” Smith said, drawing applause.
Speaking of Trump, Smith said“Here’s the deal: The man was shot twice and convicted of 34 felonies. Americans still say, ‘He’s closer to normal than what we see on the left.’ .

He also brought Khanna on the mission due to his claims that former President Joe Biden was mentally fit for a second presidential term. “I know you supported Biden. Smith was referring to Khanna’s comments on CNN In February 2024, Biden is “completely mentally sharp.”
Biden’s performance in the summer debate against Trump stunned many Democrats and inflamed them to push for Biden to step aside. The press conference then kept him around for a while, albeit a gaffe-strewn show, but ten days later he dropped out in favor of Harris. Democrats did not hold the primary.
“Kamala Harris, who didn’t resonate in the 2020 primaries, didn’t even make it to Iowa. All of a sudden, she’s the Democratic nominee.
