Prepare popcorn for this.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith decided to talk a little bit about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after leaving Spotify in a recent episode of his podcast. This was a week after Bill Simmons set the pair on fire.
Back in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan signed a deal with Spotify. It is described as a “multi-year partnership with Spotify to create podcasts and shows that tell stories through diverse voices and perspectives.” The couple released a podcast titled ‘Archetypes’, which debuted in August 2022 and was a total hit. 12 episodes. Meghan acted as the host.
The couple and Spotify announced they were parting ways last week, prompting Simmons to label them “fucking scammers.”
“‘Fucking crooks’.” That’s the podcast we should start with them. I got drunk one night and I have to tell the story of Zoom I went with Harry to get help with an idea for a podcast. This is one of my best stories,” Simmons said. “Shoot this guy into the sun. I’m fed up with this guy. What does he bring to the table? You weren’t even my beloved son…I can’t stand him.”
Simmons also said she was “so embarrassed” to have to “share Spotify.”
Legend appeared on his ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show’ and revealed that he has no interest in the royal family at all. Smith brought up Princess Diana, saying she “looked like a very, very nice woman,” and how black eyes see Queen Elizabeth’s legacy differently. .
Smith replayed Simmons’ reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving Spotify, then gushed about the couple:
“If Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex aren’t complaining about the royal family, I’m not sure anyone cares what they say,” Smith said. “I’m not going to dog (Meghan Markle) like she doesn’t have any talent.
“Actually, I’ll watch it again. I’ll watch it again. I love that show. But I mean, no matter what they say, as long as they’re not insulting their family.” It’s that I don’t care at all.”

So…was Stephen A. Smith wrong?
Personally, I can relate to Stephen A. Frankly, I didn’t care about the royal family, and the only time I was slightly interested was when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were chasing them. No, Stephen A. was not wrong here. And Bill Simmons was right. They are little scammers. Well anyway, I’m tired of talking about Harry and Meghan… again.
