Immigration authorities have arrested a Guatemalan citizen in Maryland for the murder of his girlfriend and marked the latest arrest of illegal immigrants accused of murdering his state’s mother.
According to information obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Keesy Robinson Alexis Barrera Rosa, a 23-year-old Guatemalan man from Lapla, Maryland, before April 5th. Barella Rosa is charged with murdering his girlfriend, Lesbia Mirez Ramirez Guerra. His uncle, Lorbin Eduardo Barrera, was charged with accessories by local law enforcement after the fact of the murder. DHS confirmed that Valera Barrera also illegally lives in the United States, which in April 2019 he illegally crossed the country with his nephew.
“The arrests of these two individuals mark an important step towards justice,” Vernon Liggins, director of Ice Baltimore Acting Field Office, said in a prepared statement.
