Georgia voters may decide who will be the next president of the United States, and in a race so close, their concerns that Vice President Kamala Harris is a fake, politically expedient candidate may actually prove decisive.
A new poll finds that only a minority of Georgia voters believe that Harris's major shifts on key policy issues are the result of genuine personal change. Instead, they see her as a political opportunist willing to make claims that don't reflect her true aims just to garner voters' support.
Specifically, the new American Greatness/TIPP Survey More than 1,000 Georgia voters were asked whether Kamala Harris' new positions on several issues were a “true shift” or “politically motivated” ahead of the upcoming election. The survey found that voters were “skeptical of Harris' motives,” with only 31% of respondents saying Harris' sudden shift in border policy, particularly regarding the border wall, was a “true shift.” (Related: Kamala Harris once thought a border wall was “un-American.” Now she supports it.)
Even among Georgia Democrats, 27% of Harris supporters agree that her change of policy on the border wall was a “politically motivated” change of policy. Of course, when the presidential race is this close, an independent candidate in a battleground state like Georgia is the “holy grail” of electoral politics. In Georgia, only 21% of such independent candidates consider Kamala's border changes to be “real.”
In terms of partisanship, the Georgia polls found no Republican-leaning samples, and the overall top-line horse race numbers between Trump and Harris are Stuck They're tied at 48% each. But even those who support Harris express serious skepticism about her honesty and trustworthiness, and for good reason.

Axios Posts The article was titled “Progressives Hope Harris Border Changes Are Temporary.” The column explains that “Progressive groups are quietly hoping that Harris' hardline stance on the border is temporary.” rhetoric It's just a posturing to help her win in November.”
It seems that smart Georgia voters agree with open border progressives on at least this one point: Harris is taking a “posture” and not being honest with the American people. The skepticism stems in part from her performance as a senator in 2019. Sanders himself acknowledged his silence on national television, acknowledging that Americans had not understood Harris' sudden and conspicuous abandonment of her long-held left-wing views. When NBC's Kristen Welker asked Sanders if Harris was “abandoning progressive ideals,” he replied: Sanders responded: “I don't think she's abandoning progressive ideals. I think she's trying to be pragmatic and do what she thinks is right to win the election.”
So in the disingenuous, callous view of a political dinosaur like Bernie Sanders, lying about major policy shifts is just “pragmatic.” Thankfully, voters see it differently. The good people of Georgia are giving Trump a commanding edge on the issue of border security, with the poll giving the former president a staggering 22% lead on the subject (57% to 35%).
But even more important than policy preferences, as voters learn more about the vice president, the reality that Harris is a dishonest opportunist is becoming clear. Not surprisingly, she has hidden from the media and is reluctant to reveal much about herself. Candidate Trump Vance Compared to the Harris-Waltz duo, they have given countless interviews and press conferences.
Clearly, Americans need a presidential candidate who is transparent, honest, and willing to face tough questions. Voters realize they're getting none of those attributes from Fake Kamala.
