Will the “Heat Culture” be running the US basketball team anytime soon?
he gold medal Steve Kerr will reportedly end his career as captain of USA Basketball at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, as legendary NBA insider Marc Stein reports that Kerr will no longer be leading the team. But that's not all: Stein also reported that potential replacements for Kerr include Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue and my beloved Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, both of whom won gold medals in Paris as part of Kerr's coaching staff.
Kerr has been part of USA Basketball since 2016. The current head coach of the Golden State Warriors became involved when he joined San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich's staff.

Erik Spoelstra should be the next head coach of Team USA.
I watched the man build a dynasty with the Miami Heat from 2010-14, featuring top-tier players like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, and I watched him make two NBA Finals appearances with teams that never should have been there in the first place. With more talent, with less talent, Sportivo knows how to win.
American basketball needs a “Heat Culture.”
