Snow is plentiful in northern Arizona, and the Arizona Department of Transportation wants to use that “quality snow” to keep you safe.
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — “And it's not even good snow.”
The Arizona Department of Transportation is reminding Arizonans that playing in the snow on highways may seem like fun, but it can be dangerous. And it's not good snow anyway.
a Tweets from ADOT on “X” formerly known as Twitter; It shows people parked on the shoulder of a highway and enjoying the snow. It may look like fun, but ADOT says playing on the shoulder of a highway is dangerous.
“Don't be like these people. Highway shoulders aren't meant for playing in the snow!” There was a tweet saying.
Instead of enjoying the large amount of snow that has fallen in northern Arizona over the past few days on the highways, ADOT recommends heading to designated snow play areas instead. Several locations near Flagstaff include Flagstaff Snow Park, Happy Jack Lodge, and Flagstaff City Park.
Don't be like these people. The shoulder of the highway is no place to play in the snow.
For everyone's safety, please go to the designated snow play area. The shoulder of I-17 is not a designated snow play area. Nor is it good snow.

sermon, @ArizonaDOT !
Please also do not play on the side of Forest Service roads. Be safe and head to the designated snow play area. https://t.co/k9MNS70nvp
