‘Story Wasn’t Totally True’: Vance Calls Out ‘Random Staffer’ For Leaking Rubio-Musk Meeting

Vice President JD Vance pushed back the claims of tension between President Donald Trump’s cabinet members and billionaire Elon Musk, telling Fox News Thursday that the story was “not entirely true.”

Following the Cabinet Meeting on March 6, after discussing the role of Musk and the government’s Ministry of Government’s Department of Government’s Efficiency (Doge), Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Transport Secretary Shawn Duffy report that Musk has pressed the agency down. In “Ingraham’s Angle,” host Laura Ingraham asked whether Vance would check the report, whether the group “dropped things,” and raised suspicions of “tension” among the cabinets. “I don’t think there’s tension. There’s certainly a disagreement from time to time,” Vance said. “We don’t intend to agree with all the issues within the administration, but the president was very clear. Elon does a great job. Clearly, I’m grateful for what he’s doing. I think Marco is doing an incredible job as Secretary of State.”

“I had high expectations. I think he actually exceeded those expectations. So the fact that you have disagreements at the meeting doesn’t mean you have inconsistencies,” Vance added. “That means you have to talk about this.”

Trump announced in the Truth Society that a meeting between Cabinet members and Musk discussed the role of billionaires in the administration and highlighted his desire for the team to tackle “cost reduction measures and staffing.” While praising Kuzi’s efforts, Trump also made it clear that Musk has no authority to fire people or make unilateral decisions about policies or personnel, but can make recommendations to agencies. According to To Politico.

a Report Rubio and Duffy said they had clashed with Musk after the billionaire allegedly criticised the lack of staff and supplies at both agencies.

“We don’t intend to have a government with a president sitting in a sleeping cabinet meeting while my wife runs the Cabinet meeting. We’re going to talk about the issue,” Vance said. “It bothers me that it leaked. To be clear, I don’t think the story was entirely true.”

“We need to have a conversation. We need to be able to talk to each other and solve these things without the random staff coming out.” “I think that’s what happened. It’s an American business, so I’ll continue to do presidential business.”

Since the report surfaced with claims of tension between Trump’s cabinet members and Musk, the president has rejected a reporter asking about the claim on March 6th. Democrats have been pushed back against masks since their involvement in the Trump campaign, escalating their criticism after Trump announced on February 22 that he agreed to overturn US aid for international development.

Protests against Tesla, a mask electric car company, have intensified as some Democrats accused Musk’s doge of illegally investigating wasteful government spending. According to For Fox News, an Oregon Tesla dealer near Portland was destroyed on March 6th, and was destroyed by a damaged car and a shattered windshield after being shot.
